Meal Plan Monday

I know I know... I am 2 days behind on sending out my meal planning.  Usually I am on the ball but with shifting weather we were in a different mode around our house!!!  HURRICANE MODE that is.   Gesh.... I  am very thankful that we won't be getting Irene.  Thanks Lynn for offering a much better shelter!!!  :)
Meal planning is definitely a quick and easy snapshot of grocery shopping.  This week I didn't do much shopping since I had to get so much last week I was able to meal plan from that.

Sunday we had sloppy joes, I am still working off the huge sale from a while ago.  Since school was starting Monday, we wanted a quick meal that would get my kids in bed early....  so sloppy joes, steamed broccoli and Velveeta macaroni and cheese...

Monday -   I was blessed with a wonderful kid  that insisted cooking chili.   Yes in the middle of the summer.  However, it was DEVINNE!!!!   Bailey did a wonderful job following her recipe and making dinner.   I love it!!!

Tuesday-   BREAKFAST FOR DINNER....   yes that is a must in our house.  I made biscuits and gravy, bacon, hashbrowns, eggs, and buttermilk pancakes......  We invited Nana and Poppie over for dinner and had us a breakfast!!!  :)

Wednesday-  SURPRISE!!!  Nana is cooking us dinner.....  Venison cube steaks veggies and garlic mashed potatoes

Thursday-  Chicken, garlic sauce with angel hair pasta.  I absolutely LOVE the philly cream cheese with garlic and herbs...  This makes for some great meals and has AWESOME recipes....

Friday is most likely going to be poker night for us so we will be getting some chicken wings and lots of home made appetizers  :)

Saturday Hamburgers and hot dogs.   Easy meal!!!  :)

Sunday- I am making Crock pot Beef Stroganoff...  Wish me luck!!!    My boss has been craving this and the recipe looked really yummy so I am going to try it in the crock pot and see how that works out for my family.

If you have some really good recipes.... SHARE them please..   I am trying to a new something or other every week to spice it up a bit with different meals!!!
what's your FAVORITE!!!    Gimme Gimme some ideas!!!!  PLEASE!!

Garage Sale

Keep an eye out!!!   We are cleaning out the old.  I have decided that it's time to clean out the toys, clothes, linens, furniture  and cabinets.  Kids are growing so fast!!!!   It's so hard to realize that until you see them wearing something WAY TO SMALL.  I guess my eye opener was shooping for school clothes.      I got the clothes done.... and some of the toys so we are finishing it up.  I was hoping to do the sale this weekend but we put it off due to Irene.....  NOW, Thank you GOD!!!   that Irene has decided to stay off shore, we are back to cleaning mode.  I am pushing to have my garage sale by Sept 17th.  I will be posting some of the pageant dresses on EBAY as I think they will sell better there.  If you are interested, contact me and I will gladly sent you pics.  Thank you guys for helping me make this a GREAT SALE!!!   Keep checking back.

I am in the works of having a GARAGE SALE so we are going through all the house to CLEAN IT OUT.  I know spring cleaning was long over due!!!   If you are a local keep an eye out for some really good stuff!!!  :)   I will be posting a few things on Craigslist and EBay.  As most of my friends know that Bailey's days of pageants and dresses are outgrown.  Momma is selling all of them for $$$ for a new one :)

Kids started school in our town this week.  We are working on the 3rd day.  They were so excited and love the new teachers!!!   I will post some pics of them as always.

Meal Plan Monday

Meal planning is one of my favorite things to do.  I can see what is on sale for the week and what I have that can make meals cheaper in the long run.
This week will still be a laid back week for me.  My kids are coming home Wednesday.  I am so excited.  I have missed them ALLOT!!  We won't have a  whole lot of time with school starting and orientations, so quick meals will have to cut it for us this week.

Here is what I have in store for this week.  Nothing is ever written in stone in my house but certainly close to it  :)

Monday-  Dad and I are grocery shopping so we will pick up something nice from the Deli.  Like a nice rotisserie chicken
Tuesday- Basil Chicken over Angel Hair Pasta  Pasta and basil tomatoes that we got on sale @ Publix for less then $2.00.  This meal may cost about $7.00 to make which is mostly the chicken breasts.
Wednesday-Breakfast for dinner  since my kids come home this evening this is on of their favorites. Eggs and Egg beaters that were on sale  Also I can get farm fresh eggs from my Sister, THANKS LISA!!!  Sausage and pancakes.  Which are on sale THIS WEEK, check it out!!!
Thursday- Chicken and Gnocchi-soup crock pot     I plan on using the chicken left over from Monday and boiling it down for a nice chicken stock for this dish.  I had this for the first time @ Olive Garden, THANKS TO LISA !!!  and it was a very nice soup. Not to heavy an lots of flavor
Friday- Dinner out!!!   We still have a few gift cards that we are going to use.  Something Special for the kids since they start school soon.  I am thinking RED LOBSTER!!!
Saturday- we plan on taking the leftover Gnocchi soup and turning it into a chicken and dumplings with spinach and carrots.  Yummy!!!!
Sunday- We have church and a nice lunch planned for the kids @ Make"N the Dough in Lake Placid, FL  This is a very nice family owned Italian Restaurant which we had lunch there last Sunday.  Talk about a nice group of people and EXCELLENT food.  We had our belly's full and lots of leftovers for dinner.  Love the Italian leftovers.....  YUMMY!!!

all in all  this week should be a nice dinner week.  I know that I am only cooking 3 days this week and eating out for a few days which isn't the normal @ all in our house.  Considering the time we have and things to get done this will still work out to be a less expensive dinner week.

THIRTY-ONE PURSE PARTY

THIRTY ONE PURSE PARTY

I am attending a party this evening.  You may or may not know but the name Thirty-One comes from the verses of Proverbs 31. These words may be thousands of years old, but I am constantly amazed by how today's modern woman can relate to them. The Proverbs 31 woman is dearly loved and respected by him and her children, yet she is an individual in her own right. She manages the home and property with kindness and integrity. Her savvy business skills are partly brought about by her desire to serve others, to do good deeds and prosper. I knew women just like this, and I wanted to find a way for every woman to be recognized for who they are and for their hard work!
One of my friends is hosting a party.  Check out the
Fall Catalog for some really nice ideas.

August has a really nice sale going!!!  If you are interested in Purchasing/Hosting or information about ThirtyOne you can contact
Be sure to tell her how you heard about ThirtyOne!!!

Lake Denton Camp/ Family Matters

As some of you know I spent a week as the camp cook and a camp councilor.  It was an amazing experience. I stayed busy that is for sure!!!    I had been there before back on Spring Break however this was twice the kids and twice the fun.  I learned allot about my family and what matters the most to me.  I recently found myself wrapped up in so much and was going a mile a minute.  Being @ Lake Denton with my family and spending some very much needed quality time it brought both Bryan and I back to focus..... the things that mean the most to us and doing what we love!!!!     We studied for a week on Nehemiah from the KJV of the old testament.  Makes you wonder what happens that is for certain.   Kids had a fantastic time and so did Bryan and I.  It will take us a week to re coop that is for sure since Bryan was the camp medic for 2 weeks.  He had his hands full, luckily nothing drastic happened, just a few snafu's.... but all in all  it was well watched over.  I will definitely recommend Lake Denton.
We met some fantastic people and heard some  awesome testimonies from them.  Makes me realize how lucky I am and what I can look forward to.  Having GOD in our lives will certainly keep my family on the right track and focused.    Bailey accepted Jesus into her heart and has chosen a path to do the right thing and learn as she goes.  I have to remind her often  What would Jesus Do.....  she learned alot from camp and I will be sure to remind her of it all!!!  :)  Both the kids made some great friends as so did Bryan and I.  We are so looking forward to seeing them again and camp in October. Tanner had an exciting time.  He was the 'camp clown" as usual.  He's a good kid and everyone enjoyed having him around.

If you are interested in Lake Denton you can find them @ (click here) Lake Denton Camp
Thank you again and may God Bless your family as he is mine!!!

Meal Plan Monday!

Meal planning is always a good day.  I get to think about all the stuff I can make out of what I have or will be purchasing this week.  Now Since I haven't been shopping in 3 weeks. I am WAY behind the eight ball.  With us traveling/vacationing and kids gone I really didn't need to get stuff.  I also wanted to clean down my stock pile to start fresh and have fresh fixings.   Now this week it's meal planning for 2.  Bryan and I have a week with no kids....   IMAGINE THAT!!!

Monday-  Stuffed Chicken Breast,  I had this old recipe, not sure where I got it from but it's stuffed with Rice, Mozzarella cheese and tomatoes.  Basil, Garlic, salt and pepper.  It's a fantastic dish....  I will make some steamed asparagus as well   YUMMY!!!

Tuesday-  Chicken Alfredo and pasta.  I will use the left over chicken breast and make pasta mix it all with Alfredo sauce.  Romain Salad, tomatoes, cucumbers and almonds.

Wednesday- Venison, mashed potatoes and broccoli    I use cube steak that is made out of venison instead of beef.

Thursday- Taco Salad.  Since the kids are gone there will be no need for TACOS  just making it into a SALAD since that is how Bryan and I like it!!!   :)

Friday-  I think Dad can take momma out for a nice dinner @ Red Lobster since I received a $50 gift card for a nice little Thank You!!!!

Saturday-   Most likely some leftovers from the week   :)

Sunday- we are having a late lunch with friends so dinner may not happen  :)
